The center features two program groups: aqua therapies and wellness services. Correspondingly, the programs are organized into two masses divided by a social interaction core in the center. The project is located on a dense residential site with pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Given the “private” functions within the program, the location of the project thus creates a tension between providing visual privacy – allowing natural light. The project responds to this challenge through a series of transformations in the facade, leading to a relief pattern obstructing direct visual connections with the environment but allowing natural light inside.
