Mixed Use Complex in Ankara
The design features an amalgamation of social, commercial and residential space in multiple superposed urban layers. The scheme prioritizes pedestrian movement into and within the site, casually increasing privacy as one ascends to upper levels.
Client's requirements challenge the design to include 210 identical office units, which form a continuous loop over the commercial ground floor and act as a buffer between the commercial zone and the leaseable office-residential spaces above. Architectural form of the four surrounding towers respond to the functions they contain with respect to sunlight allowance and privacy.
