Çeşme Houses
establishing a community of high-end, compact footprint summer houses
Çeşme Houses, 2019
The design features 12 individual houses connected to each other via a central social axis and facilities. All houses enjoy spectacular views of the Aya Yorgi Bay in Çeşme, İzmir.
Slope of the site is tamed by introducing cascades that prevent the houses from blocking each other's vistas. All houses feature an outdoor kitchen, a deck and a private swimming pool.
Individual units are connected along a central pedestrian axis, which occasionally introduces gathering spaces, firepits or playgrounds, to enhance and strengthen the community spirit.
